In the summer of 2019 the FIREKILL™ atrium system was installed in connection with the installation of a large wooden boat-like ceiling structure in the newly renovated Fourways Mall in Johannesburg.
The wooden structure is flammable, and an effective fire protection solution was therefore requested. This was a concern to the architect who was worried that the pipes of a fire fighting system would affect the architecture. To meet both needs, the FIREKILL™ low pressure watermist atrium system was chosen.
