Aesthetic fire protection

The FIREKILL™ OH nozzles are installed recessed into the ceiling with the nozzle rosette flush with the surface and the nozzle Cover Plate protruding 10-15 mm from the surface, being the only visible parts of the nozzle in its daily use or directly into a visible pipe system in retrofit cases. The FIREKILL™ OH nozzles can be delivered in different paint and finishes making the system blend in with almost any type of surface, securing the aesthetics of the surroundings. The nozzles can also be delivered with logo print.

Description

Application

The FIREKILL™ system for protection of Residential and Domestic areas is unique as it requires very low water pressures and water flow rates. The system utilizes the automatic low-pressure water mist nozzles Model OH-DR1 which are patented pendent automatic, fine water spray nozzles. The OH-DR1 nozzle creates a homogenous fine water mist, which absorbs heat, reduces radiant heat and causes oxygen depletion near the fire, which in turn controls and suppresses the fire. This homogenous mist consists of a high concentration of very small droplets. Because of the small mass of the droplets, the nozzle creates a large coverage, further minimizing the water expenditures and hydrating nearby combustibles.

Test and Approvals

DnV Third party witness

The FIREKILL™ OH-DR1 system has been successfully tested by an ISO17025 accredited test lab and 3rd party witness to the CEN/TS 14972:2016 and BS8458:2015 Fixed fire protection systems – Residential and domestic watermist systems – Code of practice. This means that the system can be installed in residential and domestic areas as defined in BS8458:2015, Chapter 4, Table 1, Category of system and VID DIOM.
