The FIREKILL™ K6 Open pendent nozzles is a small size low pressure water mist nozzle blending into the surrounding. It is supplied in NiSn coated brass or stainless steel.

Design

Application

The FIREKILL™ K6 is a total flooding low pressure water mist system suited for fire protection of machinery spaces and pump rooms up to 5922 m³. The system can be designed with different parameters depending on enclosure size, making it possible to optimize the system for its use. The FIREKILL™ K6 system utilized the Model K6 nozzle which can be supplied in different materials and with different thread types.

Test and approvals

DnV MED-B and UK MER-B approval

The FIREKILL™ K6 system is approved by DnV as it has been successfully tested to IMO MSC Circ. 1165 EQUIVALENT WATER BASED FIRE-EXTINGUISHING SYSTEMS FOR MACHNIERY SPACE AND CARGO PUMP ROOMS. Gross room sizes respectively of 1000 m³ (5m ceiling height / 8,0 Bar), 4520m3 (10m ceiling height / 8,0 Bar) and 5922 m³ (10 m ceiling height / 9,0 Bar).
