Together with our partners DEF Ouest and Profog, we have provided fire protection to the CHBA (Centre Hospitalier Bretagne Atlantique) in Vannes, France. Several years ago, during a routine inspection, it was discovered that the hospital did not meet French fire safety standards. In order to comply with the regulations and allow the hospital to continue its operations, the fire resistance of the walls needed to be reinforced, or the smoke extraction system needed to be upgraded. Another option was to install a low pressure watermist system. This solution was found to be the most economical, but also practical as the system could be installed without disrupting the hospital's normal operation. The low pressure watermist nozzles were installed in the hospital’s bed units, technical rooms, and corridors. The project was finalized in July 2023.
