French Navy’s Monge
The Monge is the second largest vessel in the French Navy fleet, following the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle. It is a test and measurement vessel built by Chantiers de L’Atlantique in 1992. The purpose of Le Monge is to monitor ballistic missile launches and collect data for flight analysis.
In September 2024, Chantiers de l'Atlantique installed a VID FIREKILL low pressure water mist system on the vessel as part of its ongoing modernization efforts.
